CityRP does not play automated, voiced announcements to players: no voiced dispatcher calls over the government radio, and no recurring voice lines around government buildings.
Why
The server has tried this before. From 2015 the Nexus played a random VOX announcement through speakers on every floor, once a minute, on the Evocity and Rockford maps. It was switched off in 2020.
A voiced dispatcher for the government radio was rejected by staff vote in 2018: voters noted the existing voice announcements had drawn more complaints than expected, and judged a voiced dispatcher a lot of work for little return ("this is too much work for a small gain"). Text alerts and players speaking on the radio do the job without the noise.
