What it is
LimeTrack™ is the GPS vehicle-tracking service fitted to cars in the city. When a tracked vehicle is being stolen it raises an automatic alarm to the police with the vehicle, plate and location. It is the in-universe reason a boosted car draws a police response, and the thing a thief has to defeat by disabling the tracker.
Voice
- Automated and clipped, like a machine reporting a fault: "Automatic vehicle theft alarm at …", "Final signal at …".
- Always written LimeTrack™ with the mark when it is the speaker.
- Reports use the standard 911 chat format and colours, so it reads as one more dispatch source and
not a new channel. The label is
LimeTrack™:with no surrounding brackets.
Where players see it
| Surface | What it says |
|---|---|
| 911 chat | Alerts while a tracked vehicle is being driven, and a final-location alert when the tracker is disabled |
| Boosting Tablet | Contract help text that mentions LimeTrack reporting more aggressively while the vehicle is driven |
