In-universe lore

This page was last updated ago, on 3 October 2026. Check what it says against the code before relying on it.
The city has its own companies. Players meet them as casino machines, tracker alerts, shop signs and item descriptions, and they only feel like one world if every appearance agrees. This folder is the single place that says what each brand is, so the next item description, notification or sign reads in the same voice.
Lore is a presentation layer: it names things players already interact with. It does not add a system, and a mechanic is never documented here; link to the doc that owns it instead. Facts about the city itself (where it is, what is legal) live in the setting, and brands have to agree with it.
Brands
| Brand | What it is in the city | Owning system | Page |
|---|---|---|---|
| LimeCasino | The casino operator behind every slot machine, wheel and card table | pcasino, holdem, casinocards |
limecasino.md |
| LimeTrack™ | The vehicle-tracking service that reports stolen cars to police | carboosting |
limetrack.md |
| LimeSight | The maker of ammunition and signal flares, printed on our ammo boxes and flare pistol | Weapons and ammunition items | limesight.md |
The Lime prefix is deliberate: these are all arms of one in-universe parent, mirroring the
Limelight name. Choose a new Lime… name only when the thing really is part of that group.
Other names in the code
These appear in the code and maps but have no page yet. Add one when a feature needs the name to mean something.
| Name | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Unisec | unisec-keypads plugin, the "Unisec Paid Door" prompt |
| MTL | Waypoints: company office, storage warehouse and transport depot |
| Big City Industrial Mining Ltd | The mining construction-worker NPC (ENT.Job) |
| World Corp | The World Corp Stock Exchange waypoint |
| Downtown Motors, Empire Hotels, Mercy Hospital, Izzies Palace, Whispering Oaks Motel, Nexus | Map waypoints on rp_evocity_v4b1_fl2 |
Writing a brand page
Start from limecasino.md. Every page carries the same sections: what the brand is,
its voice, where players see it, and where it appears in the repo. Keep a claim only if a player
could notice it, and mark anything undecided TODO(lore) so a stub is visibly a stub.
- Say which pillar the brand supports, or leave the section out.
- Do not use a real-world company as lore. Where one already appears (a Tesla charger, a Burger King waypoint), leave it as it is and do not extend it.
- Brand strings are shown to players, so follow the voice of the surrounding game text and commands.md for anything that is a command tip.
